I’ve been a portrait photographer since high schoo

I’ve been a portrait photographer since high school. I’ve experimented with AI imagery, but it doesn’t bring me joy because my work has always been about human connection. To me, portraits are an intimate conversation between two people, and the experience matters as much as the final image.

I love studio lighting and the creativity it allows, but lately I’ve been drawn back toward simplicity, natural light, presence, and the honest beauty of imperfection.
This portrait was taken in my yard, in soft natural light. It isn’t perfectly in focus, and that’s why I love it. It feels real, grounded, human.
I’m in a season of creative sketching, returning to my roots, and rediscovering the joy of making my own portraits for as long as I can see the world through a lens.
