I really enjoyed this entrepreneur portrait photo session with local author, Malia Mattoch. She has such a beautiful smile and genuine personality and we had a wonderful time with our in-studio and outdoor session to help promote Malia’s new book, “Dragonfruit“. Here is Malia’s kind words about her experience working with my team and I.
“I am Malia Mattoch McManus. I was born and raised in Kailua, Hawai’i. After a decade reporting and anchoring local news in Honolulu, I began researching Dragonfruit. Parts of my own family arrived in Hawai’i in the 1800s as both ship captains and sugar plantation workers. Dragonfruit was inspired by bits and pieces of family stories. This is my second published book but first novel. I also wrote The Hawaiian House Now and continue to write and report for Hawai’i publications. I live on O’ahu with my family.
I needed professional photos for press coverage surrounding the book. My friend, Florence Chong, recommended Tracy and the booking was quick and easy. I felt like I’d always known Tracy, though it was the first time she’d met. I’d had numerous head shots taken during my television career and always found the process a little tough as I’m by nature fairly shy. Tracy made it feel very natural.
Would I recommend Tracy to others in need of professional photography? Yes, absolutely!” – Malia Mattoch
